John Townsley Cert CII

John was born in Coventry and educated at Cardinal Newman School. He started his insurance career in 1987, has experience in almost every aspect of insurance and holds a professional qualification with the CII.

John was one of the founders of ICIB Ltd and is a senior member of the Chartered Insurance Institute and was President of Coventry Insurance Institute in 2000.

He is Chairman of Coventry Three Spires Round Table. In 2009 he was appointed Chairman of Coventry Fun Run, to oversee the organisation of the event, also held this post in 2010. It is an event held every June by Round Table within the city and has raised in excess of £1.3 Million pounds for local charities and good causes.

John has written articles for and been featured in local and national newspapers and has been interviewed on BBC Radio concerning the insurance profession.

John's main interest is horse riding, he owns a 17.0 hand Horse called “Riley” and is a member of a local riding club, has taken part in dressage, showjumping and cross country events. His other interests are clay pigeon and game shooting, rugby, cycling, music and getting out into the countryside.
