John Townsley Cert CII

John was born in Coventry and educated at Cardinal Newman School. He started his insurance career in 1987, has experience in almost every aspect of insurance and holds a professional qualification with the CII.

John is a senior member of the Chartered Insurance Institute and was President of Coventry Insurance Institute in 2000.

He is Vice Chairman of Coventry Three Spires Round Table, and is in preparation for becoming Chairman in 2010. In 2009 he was also appointed Chairman of the Coventry Fun Run to oversee the organisation of an event held annually in June, raising thousands of pounds for local charities, and good causes.

John has written articles for and been featured in local and national newspapers and has been interviewed on BBC Radio concerning the insurance profession.

John’s main interest is horse riding, he owns a 17.0 hand Horse called “Riley” and is a member of a local riding club. His other interests are clay pigeon and game shooting, rugby, cycling, music and getting out into the countryside.
